After months of public meetings, surveys and analysis, a draft of the Parks Master Plan is now available for public review and feedback. Residents are encouraged to read the master plan, which includes improvements to existing facilities and proposals for new features, such as disc golf, trails, improved signage, a nature trail at Millennium Park and a water play feature at Beirne Park.
The proposed renovations and new features were determined based on a needs analysis performed on the parks, as well as public input.
The draft of the Parks Master Plan can be viewed now through June 30 on the City's website. Feedback on the draft Parks Master Plan can be submitted here.
Planning Design Studio will present the final Parks Master Plan to City Council during a regular Council meeting in July. As always, members of the public are welcome to attend to learn more about the plan.
The Parks Master Plan will act as a guide for city staff for the next 10 to 15 years, laying out a plan for priority renovations and future additions in city parks. The study is led by Planning Design Studio, a St. Louis area landscape architecture firm that specializes in park planning.
