In furtherance of the 39 North Master Plan, the City of Creve Coeur, and the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, entered into a contract with Christner, Inc., to further study the redesign of the Old Olive Street Road as a main street corridor, in anticipation of the redesign of the Olive Boulevard and Lindbergh Boulevard interchange.
The Old Olive plan includes recommendations on the market potential of the corridor, preliminary roadway redesign section drawings to foster connectivity improvements, public realm design enhancements such as landscaping, lighting, street furniture, and district signage. A draft of the Old Olive Street Road Great Street Plan can be reviewed online here.
After numerous workshops in the area the final design has been submitted for adoption. The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on this amendment for adoption on Monday, August 5, 2019. City Council Action is not required. If adopted by the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Old Olive Street Road Great Street Plan will be included as an addendum to the City’s comprehensive plan, Creve Coeur 2030, which was adopted in March 2017 by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the 39 North Master Plan that was adopted in June of 2017.
