As part of the city’s current contract for trash and recycling services, which began on July 1, 2015, base trash service is curbside pickup. This cost is paid by the city.
Upgrades are available for residents who wish to maintain valet (rear-yard) trash service. The city paid the entire upgrade cost for valet service the first year of the contract which ended on June 30, 2016. During the second year of the contract, which began July 1, 2016, the city paid 50 percent of the upgrade fee. In the third year, starting July 1, 2017 and thereafter, residents will be responsible for the full cost of valet service.
Residents who currently have valet service will see a $15.00 per month fee beginning in July. Republic Services will mail the first quarterly bill on June 15. Residents may change their service to curbside collection by contacting Republic Services at (636) 947-5959 by June 30. A one-time cart delivery fee of $15 will be charged, and carts are available in three sizes: 48-gallon, 65-gallon and 95-gallon.
