Dr. Robert Hoffman was elected in April 2021 after previously serving on the Creve Coeur City Council from 2010 to 2021, where he served as Council President in 2012-2013 and 2017-2018. During his time on the City Council, he has served as the Chair to the Audit Committee and the Council Liaison for the Stormwater Committee, Police and Safety Committee, and the Horticulture, Ecology and Beautification Committee.
Prior to serving as an elected official on the City Council, Mayor Hoffman was an appointed member of several city boards, committees and commissions, including the Planning and Zoning Commission in 2009-2010 and the Police and Safety Committee in 1999-2008. He was also the recipient of the Chief’s Award in 2000.
Mayor Hoffman was formerly a pediatrician with Washington University Clinical Associates, with an M.D. from Saint Louis University and B.S. from University of Illinois. He has also been an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1980. In addition to his service to the City of Creve Coeur, Mayor Hoffman is a volunteer at the Jewish Food Pantry and is a board member of the Solomon Schechter Day School.
Mayor Hoffman has lived in Creve Coeur for over 35 years and currently resides at 212 Ladue Oaks Drive with his wife, Barbara. He has three grown children—David, Jennifer and Jonathan—and six grandchildren.
